    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup shortening
    1-2/3 cups sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
    1/2 cup broken pecans
    2-1/2 cups sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 cup milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    powdered sugar for rolling

    Recipe



    Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar. Add beaten eggs and chocolate. Stir in pecans. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk that has been flavored with vanilla. Cover and chill for 3 hours. Form dough into logs, then roll in powdered sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Yield: 60 cookies.
