    Garlic Chicken with Wine

    List of Ingredients






    1 (2-lb.) whole frying chicken
    20 cloves garlic, divided
    1 tbl. cracked black pepper
    4 to 6 small red potatoes
    2 carrots, peeled and cut into thin strips
    2 ribs celery, cut into thin strips
    1/2 cup white wine
    1 yellow squash, sliced

    Recipe



    1. Place chicken into slow cooker and make 10 slits in the chicken.
    Insert a clove of garlic in each of the 10 slits. Sprinkle black
    pepper over chicken.

    2. Position potatoes, carrots, celery and remaining garlic cloves
    around chicken and pour white wine over all. Cook on Low for 6 hours.

    3. Add yellow squash and continue cooking on Low for 2 hours.

    Serves 4 to 6.
