    1 T. oil
1 1/2 lbs. skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
    4 lg carrots, thinly sliced
4 green onions, sliced (including green portions)
    3 stalks celery, sliced
    1 c. reduced-sodium chicken broth
    1 T. sugar
    1/3 reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/4 t. crushed red pepper flakes
    1/4 t. ground ginger
    1 clove garlic, minced
    8 oz. bean sprouts
1 8-oz. can sliced water chestnuts
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1/2 c. water

    Recipe

Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and
cook until brown. Put in Crock-Pot. Add remaining ingredients,
except cornstarch and water; stir to combine. Cover; cook on low 6-8
    hours.

Turn to High. In small bowl, stir cornstarch into cold water until
dissolved. Stir into liquid in Crock-Pot. Place cover slightly ajar
on Crock-Pot. Cook until thickened (15-30 minutes). Serve with chow
mein noodles or rice. May be doubled for 5-quart models.
