    Yummy Summertime BBQ for the slow cooker

    List of Ingredients





    3 cups chopped celery
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 cup ketchup
    1 cup barbecue sauce (K.C. Masterpiece is a good one)
    1 cup water
    2 tablespoons vinegar
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
    1 teaspoon chili powder (go easy! It gets spicy, even with this small amount!)
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 boneless chuck roast, trimmed of fat, about 3-4 pounds

    Recipe



    In a large (5 quart) slow cooker, mix the ingredients. Cook on high for 6-7hours or until tender.
    About 30 minutes before serving, remove the meat and shred..it will fall
    apart.
    Return the meat to the sauce and heat through.
    Use a slotted spoon to serve on 12 hamburger buns or soft rolls.
