Granny Had One's Apple Pie
List of Ingredients
9-10 med. apples, cored and peeled (Winesap, McIntosh or a mixture)
1 c. sugar, mixed with 1 T. cinnamon
Topping:
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Recipe
Slice apples into a 10" deep-dish pie plate that has been greased with vegetable cooking spray. Sprinkle sugar-cinnamon mixture over apples.
For topping: melt butter, then add rest of ingredients. Put on top of the pie. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 350F, 20 minutes, or until brown as desired. Cover with foil, then bake another 20-40 minutes, or until apples are done.
