    THE WORLD'S BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE

    List of Ingredients









    125 g (4 oz) butter or margarine
    1 1/2 dl (2/3 cup) sugar
    1/2 dl (scant 1/4 cup) ground almonds
    3 eggs
    1 dl (good 1/3 cup) flour
    125 g (4 oz) dark chocolate
    2 tbs strong coffee

    Glazing:
    125 g (4 oz) dark chocolate
    50 g (1 3/4 oz) butter or margarine

    Recipe



    Makes 1 cake, approx 12 pieces


    Stir fat and sugar soft and fluffy. Mix in almonds, 3 egg yolks and
    chocolate, which you have first melted with the coffee. Add flour and the
    stiffly beaten egg whites and pour the batter in a greased, floured baking
    dish, capacity 1 1/2 liters / 6 cups. Bake at 175C/350F for about 30
    minutes.

    Melt the chocolate with the butter for the glazing and spread it over the
    cake when the cake is cool.

    This cake is excellent to make one day in advance. Enjoy!
