1 1/2 lb. ground beef
4 - 6 oz. pork sausage/Jimmy Dean Regular
1 egg
1 slice bread/I use sourdough
1/4 c. milk, plus or minus, needs to cover the bread
1 chopped onion
1/2 chopped bell pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. sage or to taste
1 8 oz can tomato sauce

Slightly beat the egg, add the milk and torn up bread and allow to soak until totally
mushy. Add onions, peppers, seasonings to this mixture.
Mix the sausage with the ground beef (this is the hard part because the sausage does
not want to do this). Add egg/bread/etc. mixture to meat. Mix well, probably have
to use your hands.
Form the loaf, pour tomato sauce over it and bake at 350 for an hour or an hour and.
