Garlicky beef and pasta
List of Ingredients
1 pound beef round tip steaks, cut 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick
Vegetable cooking spray
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon water
2 cups frozen cut green beans (about 8 ounces)
1/2 cup prepared brown beef gravy (canned or from a mix)
1 1/2 cups rotini (spiral) pasta, cooked according to package directions
Recipe
Stack the steaks; cut lengthwise in half and then crosswise into
1-inch wide strips.
Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat over
medium-high heat until hot. Add half the beef and garlic and stir-fry
1 minute or until the outside surface of the beef is no longer pink.
(Do not overcook.) Remove from the skillet; keep warm. Repeat with
the remaining beef and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
In the same skillet, heat the water until hot. Add the green beans;
cook 4 to 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in
the gravy and pasta; heat through. Return the beef to the skillet;
toss to combine. 4 servings.
