Pork Chops and Cabbage

1-2 teaspoons vegetable oil
4 boneless pork chops
1 medium head cabbage, divided use
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can milk
1 medium onion, cut in fourths and sliced, divided use
Recipe
Preliminaries: Grease deep, 3-quart casserole dish with butter or
margarine. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
1. Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add pork chops and
brown on both sides. Set aside.
2. Cut cabbage in fourths and remove (and discard) core; thinly slice.
3. In small bowl, combine soup and milk (to measure milk, fill soup
can halfway); stir to blend.
4. Place half of cabbage and half of onion in prepared casserole. Top
with half of soup mixture. Top with pork chops. Add remaining
cabbage, onion and soup mixture. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 1
hour.
Yield: 2-4 servings
