    List of Ingredients




    Butter
    8 slices day old bread, crust removed
    2 c diced cooked chicken or turkey
    1/2 c chopped onion
    1/2 c chopped celery
    3/4 tsp. salt and pepper
    1/2 c mayonnaise
    1 1/2 c mixed milk and chicken broth or broth
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 c grated sharp cheese

    Recipe



    Butter 2 slices of bread; cut into 1/2 inch cubes. Cut remaining 6 slices
    into 1 inch cubes. Place 1/2 of unbuttered cubes in bottom of greased 8x8x2
    casserole. Combine diced chicken, vegetables, seasonings and mayonnaise.
    Spoon 1/2 of mixture over bread; add remaining unbuttered cubes. Add
    remaining chicken mixture. Combine milk and broth with eggs; pour over
    casserole. Let stand overnight. Spoon soup over casserole. Top with small
    buttered bread cubes. Bake at F 350 for 50 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese 30
    minutes before removing from oven. 8 serve
