1 med. head of cabbage, coarsely chopped
1/3 green bell pepper, chopped
1 T. chopped pimiento
1/2 small onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, finely chopped
1/4 c. sugar
1/8 c. vinegar
2 T. vegetable oil
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery seed
Recipe
Method: Combine the cabbage, pepper, pimiento, onion and celery in a large
bowl. Toss to mix. Combine the remaining ingredients in a small saucepan.
Heat to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat
and pour immediately over the cabbage mixture. Stir to
blend. Cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving. Serves 8.
