    Layered Spring Salad

    List of Ingredients




    4 c. assorted salad greens, bite-sized pieces or baby greens
    4 med. carrots, julienned
    1 1/2 c. cooked macaroni shells, drained well
    2 c. frozen petit peas
    1 med. red (Bermuda) onion, diced
    3/4 lb. fully cooked ham, cubed
    1/3 c. shredded Swiss cheese
    1/3 c. shredded grated cheddar cheese


    Dressing:
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. sour cream
    2 tsp. Dijon-style mustard
    1 1/2 tsp. chopped fresh basil OR 1/2 tsp. dried
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 hard-cooked eggs, cut into wedges (opt.)

    Recipe



    In a 3 1/2 quart glass bowl, layer ingredients in this order: greens, carrots, macaroni, peas, onion and ham, ending with cheeses.

    In another bowl, combine the first 6 dressing ingredients and spread over salad. Garnish with eggs if desired. Cover and chill several hours
